Brian’s returns with some major updates to their GSP goalie stick line. The brand new GSP4 takes on a more modern framework this time around, coming equipped with a 12K carbon twill construction, a bias weave reinforcement, an internal foam matrix core, and a beautiful matte finish.
Shaft Construction
One of the first things you may notice with the GSP4 stick is how it is no longer constructed out of wood and glass, but carbon fibre for a lighter and more durable build. As a result of the stick's 12K carbon construction, it's both tough and lightweight, suitable for elite goaltenders.
Paddle Construction
The paddle has a thin profile and is also made with 12K carbon twill, the same as the rest of the stick. When playing, the paddle and blade will be the areas of the stick most often getting in the way of the puck, and vibrations from the paddle upwards can cause great discomfort, in addition to being distracting. The internal foam matrix core is designed to reduce and dampen those undesired paddle vibrations caused by impact.
Blade Construction/Stiffness
The blade is made of 12K carbon with a bias weave reinforcement. This carbon weave has been used often in aircraft design, and in the blade of the GSP4, bias carbon greatly enhances stiffness and reactivity on deflections.
Graphics
The stick pays homage to its roots with the clean, wood-like graphic at the top of the paddle. The rest of the stick is adorned with a sleek, black colouration, along with Brian’s logo graphic.
Grip
Right above the paddle is a raised and textured grip to help you get a good grip on the stick. Rounded paddle shoulders and the optimized textured grip and hand position also look to greatly enhance overall performance.
Blade Patterns, Paddle Lengths, Stick Lengths, Weight, Level of Play
The GSP4 Senior goalie stick is built for the elite-level goaltender. It uses a P31 open toe curve pattern and comes in the following paddle lengths:
LH - 24”, 25”, 26”, 27”
RH - 25”, 26”

Stick was super light and had a snappy shot to it, 6 games in made a stick save from a slap shot and the thing snapped
Although the stick is light, and the curve is great for sending saucers, the durability sucks. I got 32 days out of my stick, 15 of which I was holiday for, so it was used a total of 10 times when it snapped. I am very disappointed with Brian’s which is usually a very high quality company.
