New to the Vapor protective family comes the Source for Sports exclusive Vapor Shift Pro collection. This gear is tailored specifically for that high-performance player looking for gear that won’t necessarily break the bank. The gear comes with many features across all levels of Bauer’s new Vapor gear, including a Flexaprene vest, Hyperlite HD foam, AMP bicep guards, and a Thermocore Zero liner.
Shoulder Caps & Protection
The shoulder caps are low profile and molded to lower wind resistance and make it easier to keep your speed and glide on the ice. The PU covering keeps the pads looking sharp and gives them a bit more durability.
Sternum Protection
The Shift Pro shoulder pads have evolved to using a floating Hyperlite HD sternum with an HD foam insert. Over the front panel as well is a soft and comfortable Flexaprene vest, which uses Flexcell foam on the base. Flexcell offers a great balance between adaptability and comfort.
Spine Protection
The spine area is covered by a floating molded spine, which offers a close, protective fit without restricting freedom of movement. The internal foams are made of HD foam to maximize protection.
Bicep Protection
The AMP dual bicep guards return on the Shift Pro. Having pulled inspiration from the Supreme line, the AMP (Active Motion Protection) guards ensure you are fully covered all game long with a design to follow and adapt to your movements.
Liner
Coming directly from the top-of-the-line Hyperlite collection, Thermocore Zero also functions as the liner for the Shift Pro gear. Thermocore is amazing at repelling sweat and odour, keeping your pads fresher for longer. Keeping you nice and cool in your equipment is another great benefit of the liner.
Abdominal Protection Piece
The Vapor Shift Pro shoulder pads are equipped with a removable abdominal protection piece for added protection in that sensitive area.
Sizes
The Bauer Vapor Shift Pro Intermediate Shoulder Pads are available in Medium and Large sizes. If you are looking for a larger or smaller size, the Shift Pro gear is also available in Senior and Junior sizing.

Hockey Shoulder Pads Sizing Information
Sizing before Purchase To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.
Sizing after Purchase Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit.
1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.
This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
2. The bicep guards are positioned maximum halfway down the upper arm.
Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.
If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
