Easton Stealth CX Stick Reviewed
Overview:
Always wanted to be the team sniper? The Easton Stealth CX stick might just be for you.
That’s right, you read it right. Stealth is back. But the new Easton Stealth CX is not the same as Stealth models of years past. Easton has redesigned the entire Stealth lineup for all the players who knew and loved this popular stick.
Their goal was to develop a high performance stick that is also more durable and in the process they hope to introduce the Stealth brand to a new generation of players that aren’t familiar with the Stealth name.
Easton worked closely with NHL players like Phil Kessel (love him or hate him) in developing the new Stealth CX stick. We also saw Max Domi light it up at the World Junior Championships and win Gold with this exciting new stick. Always wanted to be the team sniper? The Stealth CX might just be for you.
The mainstay of Stealth Sticks of the past was the Elliptical Taper and the Stealth CX is no different – As with players like Zach Parise, pin-point accuracy is key, and the Elliptical Taper Profile helps to control twisting of the shaft and blade. All while allowing players to make the most of their opportunities on the ice to snipe home those buzzer beaters.
3Balance:
Most of us take for granted the balance of a hockey stick. A balanced stick provides a better feel for the puck, increased shot accuracy and quicker reaction times to help with the speed of the game. CX Hyperlite Technology doesn’t compromise with its bang on ultra-low kick point and lightweight blade feel. Easton’s attention to detail throughout the stick can be seen on the outside, while players reap the benefits of what’s on the inside of the Stealth CX.
4Shaft Design:
To generate more power, pros asked Easton to develop a unique shaft that would snap back into its normal position as quickly as possible after being loaded – propelling the puck as if it was launched through a sling-shot. With this design, accuracy on your shot is effortless while providing the quick release and accuracy that’s needed to beat goalies senseless. Easton’s Xtratough Resin Matrix - XTX for short, is designed to protect against slashes and impacts it doesn’t comprise on feel.
The Exo-Rim is a rigid carbon design that wraps around the perimeter of the blade. This outer frame wrap has specifically been designed to improve durability by preventing cracks and splitting from happening. This should help prevent blade damage during crucial moments so you can fire off numerous shots without skipping a beat.
And to put their money where their mouth is, Easton is offering a 60 day warranty to customers that purchase a Stealth CX until July 19th, 2015.
Easton looks to have one of the hottest sticks of the year on their hands. If you’re the type of player that’s always looking to find the twig that gives you that extra “edge” or “magic touch” the Stealth CX is definitely worth checking out.
