Goal Pants

These goal pants provide a snugger fit to the thighs, compared to the Premier Goal Pant, for the goalies who don’t prefer a baggy, spacious barrel-style pant. The E-Flex Shield pants have a higher waistband to increase protection, but feature a flex zone that allows you to move in all directions and sit comfortably in positions like the reverse-VH.

The taller waistband also incorporates a new style internal wing belt system. The internal belt is attached to the tailbone protection to allow the protection to wrap around your tailbone and waist.

Like the chest protector, the pants also feature the advanced material ADIPRENE. ADIPRENE is put in the upper thigh flaps to weaken pucks at impact, and to provide a more solid protection in a normally vulnerable area. The major thigh protection is built like the arms of the chest protector, using molded HD foam that wraps around the thighs.

Chest & Arm Protector

While the CCM Premier succeeded the everlasting Reebok P1/ Pro and provides exceptional size that can’t be found in all chests, the Extreme Flex Shield is a unit that takes a different approach. The E-Flex Shield fits tight to the torso and arms and it’s really a cozy fit. Even though the whole unit fits tightly, it does not, by any means, feel thin; don’t think of ‘Shield’ as just a name, because the chest has very dense protection. Taking up space isn’t for every goalie, especially those that are mobile, so the E-Flex Shield is a great option. The Shield also has a long torso that can sit overtop or inside your pants.

The first of two advanced materials that the Extreme Flex Shield features is ADIPRENE. ADIPRENE is a material that was developed by CCM’s owner, Adidas. ADIPRENE’s purpose is to weaken objects at impact, so pucks in our case. This material is used in the stomach blocks of the chest protector and makes absorbing the puck and covering up weakened rebounds very easy.

ADIPRENE+ is used in the upper portion of the chest protector’s shoulder wings (floaters). Essentially, above the red stripes where the model is positioned. Rather than weakening pucks that hit you high up and having them roll into the net, ADIPRENE+ bounces those pucks out of the way. ADIPRENE+ is designed to give off an energy rebound from the force of an object it absorbs. Using this in the shoulders forces any pucks to deflect out of harm’s way, or completely out of play.

The E-Flex Shield has adopted the same adjustment system as the Premier. The full Velcro system allows you to adjust both the height and width of the floaters, which is something many goalies look for in a new Chest & Arm. This allows even the smallest of goalies to make up for some missing inches.

This Chest & Arm is a well-rounded unit, with the addition of its arms. The biceps and forearms are made with compression molded HD and EPP foams, making the arms both protective and lightweight. These molds are quite dense, referring back to the first paragraph, and hug the arms to make you feel secure on the ice. The shoulder caps are also made with compression molded HD foam. For a secure fit, the elbow protection is independent of the entire arm and can be adjusted to fit any arm.
